As I look out my window I see the Dublin Mountains to my left, Dublin Bay to my right and the ever peaceful Dun Laoghaire straight ahead of me. What a view. So much to take in.
I'm learning alot about other cultures right now and am enjoying every minuete of it. Tuina, Reiki, Massage... it's all good. My guitar is 258 miles away and has been for the past few weeks. I've been missing it like crazy. Tomorrow ill be back in Cork so ill be reunited with her then. It's always like a new feeling for me when I'm apart from my guitar. I guess it's like love or break ups. You think your used to it before they happen and then your reduced to tears once again. I'm so used to picking it up that it practically glues my life together. Anyway, one more day to go.
My travels took me to Holland last week. Clogs, canals and drugs... some of the highlights (sorry, couldn't help the pun!). What an amazing time I had with my dear friend Margie. It was a random suggestion that started it all off. "I'm heading to Amsterdam tomorrow, wanna join me?" 7 hours later I was on my way to the airport and off I went. I didn't know whether she was serious or not but I didn't care. Experiences like this remind me that were so organised in many ways. Random experiences like these are so seldom. It opened my eyes once again to life. Life can be crazy and exciting and we need to not think from time to time and just experience.
